ST. MARY’S NEWSLETTER FOR DECEMBER 22, 2021

GARRETT RAMOS MEMORIAL FUND – If you choose to donate towards this fund, it is titled Garrett Ramos Memorial Fund. Donations may be made at any Sauk Valley Bank branch location. Donations may also be made online at https://app.autobooks.co/pay/garrett-ramos-memorial-fund . Thank you for all of your donations to our school fund. We will be purchasing a memorial from the St. Mary’s families soon.

CHRISTMAS BREAK – will be from Wednesday, December 22^nd through Tuesday, January 4^th. We will return to school on Wednesday, January 5^th.

K OF C FREE THROW CONTEST – It’s that time once again!! Thursday, January 6^th the Knights of Columbus will be hosting their annual free throw contest. This contest is open to all girls and boys between the ages of 9 and 14. Trophies/certificates will be awarded to the winners in each of the 6 age groups for both girls and boys. The gym will open at 3PM and the contests will start at 3:30. Winners will advance to the next competition in Dixon.

JANUARY DATES:
End of 2^nd Quarter – is January 5^th.

Report Cards – will be posted online January 11^th.

NO SCHOOL – Monday, January 17^th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., Day.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK – begins Sunday, January 30^th.

I would like to wish all of our St Mary’s parents, students and friends a safe, happy and holy Christmas and holiday season.

I would like to acknowledge the contribution of staff, parents and students to St Mary’s in 2021. Now more than ever, we have felt an outpouring of support and love from each and every one of you. We thank you for being part of our school family.

Walt Disney once said ‘You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful ideas in the world, but it requires people to make the dream a reality’. This is certainly the case as a principal. The reality is that the learning experiences and projects that have taken place this year could not have happened without a great deal of commitment and support from the staff, parents and students.

I am truly honored to be a part of this school! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to care for your children. I love each and every one of them and look forward to seeing them when we return in January. Thank you again for all your kindness and support. It means the world to me!
