UNITED WAY PT PENGUIN – Grades K-5 will be collecting pennies for the United Way’s P.T. Penguin fundraising initiative. Money will be collected from through October 29th. Have your kids starting digging in the couch and stuff to collect that spare change!! United Way will be providing a prize for classroom the most money collected.
HALLOWEEN CLASS PARTIES AND COSTUME PARADE – Friday, October 29th.See the link in the Selmi-Spotlight for October 20th for more information. Join us at 2:30 for the grand parade around the block!
DRESS CODE – No shorts allowed after October 31st.
EARLY DISMISSAL – Thursday, November 4th at 11:15 for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Sign-up for appointments between 12:00 and 7:00PM is taking place now on SchoolSpeak.
NO SCHOOL – Friday, November 5th for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Sign-up for morning appointments are taking place now on SchoolSpeak. Professional Development at Newman in the afternoon.
SAVE THE DATE! – The Christmas Concert has been tentatively scheduled for Thursday, December 16th at 6:00PM at 6pm.
CAFETERIA INFORMATION - The State requires us to place a carton of milk on every hot lunch tray. We are aware that some children can’t drink milk, but they still must have one on their tray, and it is included in the hot lunch price. So if your child returns their milk and requests a bottle of water, it costs $.40. Also, if your child requests a second milk, it costs $.40. If your child wants milk or water with their cold lunch, it is $.40.

FRUIT SALE - Is happening now! Orders may be placed online @ smsfundraising.net. Please check it out! Orders will be taken through November 3rd. Keep this fundraiser in mind for Holiday Gifts for friends, neighbors, your mail carrier, your lawn service provider, or pool maintenance provider. So many wonderful gift ideas! Student-created flyers were sent home last week. All orders will be placed online!!
