ST. MARY’S NEWSLETTER FOR OCTOBER 13, 2021

TUITION – Quarterly tuition is now due. Statements have been mailed.

COATS FOR COPS – In an effort to support our SPD, we will have a dress down day on Friday,  October 15^th, for $1. Donations will go directly to SPD Coats for Cops. Dress down=jeans without holes with a school appropriate shirt. No hoodies please.

END OF 1^ST QUARTER – is October 18^th. Please review your student’s Progress Reports and make sure they have everything turned in. Report Cards will be posted online October 26^th.

CONFERENCES – will be held Thursday, November 4^th from 12:30-7PM and Friday, November 5^th from 8AM to Noon. We will provide an in-person and virtual option for conferences this year. Conference sign-ups will be available on SchoolSpeak after October 20^th.  More information to come.

FOOD PANTRY DRIVE – What a great success! The Newman students picked up a FANTASTIC collection from our families! Thank you to everyone who donated items, and to the kids for bringing them in!!

KROGER PROFIT – for last quarter was $289.69. We currently have 118 families participating. Thanks everyone!

HOME & SCHOOL
Trunk or Treat will be Sunday, October 17^th from 2-3pm in the Parish Center parking lot. Invitations are coming in daily! Should be a fun time!!

FUNDRAISING
LADIES’ NIGHT OUT/ST. MARY’S RAFFLE/31 CHANCES TO WIN – Drawings have begun!!
Please check the list of daily winners on our website. Go to: smsterling.org; then the tab for Prospective-Current Parents; Down to October Raffle! Congrats to all of the winners so far!

Tickets will continue to be sold throughout the month. We have plenty of extra tickets in the office if you need more or are looking to purchase tickets for yourself! The calendar listing the amazing baskets, gift card prizes and cash prizes for each day (1^st-31^st), was sent home last week.

FRUIT SALE KICKOFF – is next Wednesday, October 20^th and runs through November 3^rd. Keep this fundraiser in mind for Holiday Gifts for friends, neighbors, your mail carrier, your lawn service provider, or pool maintenance provider. So many wonderful gift ideas! Student-created flyers will come home next week, but all orders will be placed online!!  Everything launches October 20^th!

7/8 Boys Basketball – Pictures will be taken Monday, October 18^th @ 3:45. Order envelopes will be sent home.

CHESS ANYONE?  - There will be a chess tournament held in the Sterling High School Fieldhouse on Saturday, November 13^th. This would be for students in grades K-5. Here is a link for more information:
