ST. MARY’S NEWSLETTER FOR SEPTEMBER 20, 2017
PLEASE BE ON TIME! - Please make sure your children are at school by 8:00AM. First thing in the morning teachers take lunch count and attendance.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS - You have been notified by the nurse if your records are incomplete. If physicals, immunization records, lead screening, and dental or vision exams are not complete by October 1st, your child will not be able to attend school. This is a state of Illinois requirement. A reminder for the future that all records should be complete by the first day of school.
NEWMAN FOOTBALL GAMES - I received an e-mail from Mike Papoccia regarding expectations for student behavior while attending Newman football games. “If your student plans to attend a Newman football game, they should be accompanied by a responsible adult. During the game, they will remain in the stands with the responsible adult, or for home games, in the section designated for students which is the north end of the spectator section. The areas below the stands will be patrolled and any student not in the stand will be asked to leave the game. Students are not allowed to bring balls into the game. If a ball is brought to the game, it will be confiscated.”
ANNUAL FUNDRAISING NEWSLETTER - Please check the backpacks for our annual newsletter. We shared lots of good information regarding parent support for this school year! The fundraising budget goal is $95,000. Corporate Sponsorship program and its dedicated committee contributed $33,000! Very nice jump start. With 4 events ahead of us, please keep yourself informed. Folks, you are the sole resource for a successful fundraising year. First and foremost, read any and all information coming home and keep yourself updated with the Wednesday weekly newsletter. Together, we can do this! Diana Healy & Tammy Moran Fundraising Coordinators
