TEACHER WISH LISTS – Are you looking for the perfect gift for your child’s teacher? The Home and School Association has worked with us to gather Teacher Wish Lists. The lists will be posted on School Speak under Announcements for each grade level/content area.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT- Our grade levels will be decorating windows and doors for the season. We will have a contest for each one and then take pictures of each class on our dress up day on December 15th. We will put this all together in a video for you to enjoy!
EARLY OUT - 11:15 early dismissal on Friday, December 18th. Many materials for remote learning will be sent home with your child on this day. Remember, students may dress in a jolly shirt and jeans!
REMOTE LEARNING- Google Classroom accounts are created with a school email account. While this email account is not accessible to all students, there are certain features in Google Classroom in which the students have access. Please remind your child that Google Classroom features such as chat, stream, MEET, and hangouts are for school purposes and should be teacher-directed. We announced this to the students today and would appreciate your help in communicating this when at home. Thank you!
END OF 2ND QUARTER - Wednesday, January 6th. Report cards will be available online January 11th at 9:00am.
REMOTE PLANNING DAYS- NO STUDENT ATTENDANCE - Please mark your calendars! Students will not be in attendance remotely or in-person on January 4 and January 11th. Our remote learning pause will take place from January 5- 15th.
NO SCHOOL - Monday, January 18th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will return to in-person learning on Tuesday, January 19th.
2019-2020 YEARBOOKS - We have 5 yearbooks left from last year available for purchase. The cost is $17.25 per book, and they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact the office.
FUNDRAISING If you have any fundraising ideas or would like to volunteer your time, please contact Erica Kelly 312-339-5436 or Michelle Hodge 815-441-8655. Together we can do this because we are #stmarysstrong! We hope everyone remains safe and healthy and is able to enjoy the holidays this year.
OLD NEWS NEWMAN TOURS FOR 8TH GRADE FAMILIES - Since Newman is unable to have an open house and potentially no 8th grade day, they will be hosting 30 minute tours for any interested 8th grade families.
