METEORS ON A MISSION – Our Middle School service group is sponsoring a “Jeans and Jersey” dress down day on Friday, November 12^th. There will be face painting on the playground for $.50. Minimum donation is $2. The group will be donating the money to St. Vincent DePaul for their program to sponsor a Thanksgiving dinners to less fortunate families. Please be generous. (Jeans must be without holes. No hooded sweatshirts please.)

EARLY DISMISSAL – Wednesday, November 17^th at 11:15 for Staff Professional Development.

NO SCHOOL – Wednesday, November 24^th through Friday, November 26^th, in observance of Thanksgiving. Enjoy the time with your families.

ALL SCHOOL RECONCILIATION – for grades 3 through 8 will be Wednesday, December 1^st after all school Mass.

SAVE THE DATE! – The Christmas Concert has been scheduled for Thursday, December 16^th at 6:00PM. This concert is viewed as a spectator event. Masks will be required.

BAND AT ST. MARY’S? – Mrs. Davis at NHS would love to begin band here. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Selmi ([email protected]) with your name. See Selmi Spotlight from Nov. 3^rd for more info.

SCHOLASTIC BOWL – We are looking for a Scholastic Bowl coach. This activity is for students in 5 – 8 grades. Once-a-week practice begins in January, with meets in February and March. It is a very short season, and the students really enjoy this activity. If you are interested, contact Ms. Pierce ([email protected]).


TUITION ASSISTANCE
EMPOWER ILLINOIS – Announcing Reservation Night 2022!! Mark your calendars! Reservations for a 2022-2023 tax credit scholarship will open Wednesday, January 12^th at 6:30pm. Like in previous years, the reservation will be a two-step process. At 6:30pm, the reservation form will open, giving you time to enter your information before submission at 7:00pm. Once you reserve your time stamp, you will receive an email to log into your EmpowerXChange portal and complete the application when it opens on Friday, January 14.  For more information, visit EmpowerIllinois.Org/Apply.
