St. Mary's track team begins practicing about the middle of March. The meets begin about the beginning of April and the season ends with the State Track Finals, usually the second weekend in May. Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students may be on the track team. Practices are held in the school gym or at Newman Central Catholic High School's track.
