REMINDER – All tuition and fees need to be paid in full in the office by May 20th for 8th graders to receive their diplomas at graduation. Parents, please make sure to check in the office for any final monies due. Don’t let your child be embarrassed the night of graduation. 2010-2011 REGISTRATION – There are still 14 families that have not returned their investment form. If you are returning to St. Mary’s, please send the form and if you are not returning, please let me know. We are in the process of ordering textbooks for next year and need an accurate count. Thank you!
NEW SPRING RAFFLE – We are having a “Spring Raffle”. First prize for this raffle is tuition for the first child in family for the 2010-11 school year with a value of $2,350. 2nd prize is a Fundraising Buy-Out for the 2010-11 school year with a value of $1,000. Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100. Tickets are on sale now in the office.
GRADUATION GOWNS – if any of you have gowns from Newman graduations that are sitting in closets, please consider donating them to St. Mary’s. We use the same gowns year after year.
INTERNET SAFETY SESSION – at St. Patrick’s Holloway Center in Dixon tonight, Wed., May 12th at 6:30PM. Reminder: Parents that attend ~ children will have an out-of-uniform day. This information is important!
ST. MARY’S SPIRIT WALK-A-THON – Friday, May 14th. You received class walk times last week. Pledges are due as soon as possible. The class who raises the most money and individualwinners will be determinedby Wed., May 12th. Parents and siblings invited to walk too! Thank you.

LIBRARY REMINDERS – 1) All library books are due by Friday, May 14th!!2) The “Principal’s Challenge” event is Wed., May 19th and is only for those students in 2nd through 8th grades who have earned attendance (a minimum of 10 AR reading points). *Invitations will be coming home today to those parents whose children will be receiving an award during the AR Awards Ceremony.

5-7 AWARDS ASSEMBLY – Wednesday. May 26th at 2PM in Monsignor Bales Hall.
NO SCHOOL – Thursday, May 27th.
LAST DAY – Friday, May 28th. Students are to arrive at normal time. We will attend Mass, return to their classroom to pick up their report card and be dismissed for the summer! (about 9:25AM)
ASBESTOS REMOVAL – Asebstos will be removed from the pipes in the gymnasium this summer. There will probably be a parish fundraiser to pay for the removal. The gym will be closed for the summer.
FLAG – we will soon be in need of a new flag for our flagpole. If anyone has a large flag (larger than the one flying) they would like to donate to the school, it would be appreciated.

A) Anyone interested in entering some artwork in the Grand Detour Arts Festival, please contact Mr. Duis for information.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION – Do you have Boxtops collecting in your junk drawer? Be sure and send them in before school is out for the summer. Many Boxtops expire in June and we want to be sure to get credit for every one we can. There is a collection box on the table inside the main doors.
